Trump is "Unbelievably Smart" but He's Poor and Putin Knows It

Trump's The Two "Vital" Mysteries
There's no need to waste time on being opaque if your supporters don't care.

Every con man relies on some version of the "sleight of hand." When a con man is able to "corral" a sufficiently large audience which is sufficiently eager to be duped, the demand for an inconveniently high quality of this "sleight of hand" diminishes -- in the case of the new President -- to a very manageable, comfortable level.

Snake oil salesman with Russian secrets. [image]

Here's how the scheme is working.

Trump acts like a profligate, womanizing misogynist. His evangelical and women supporters don't care.

Trump acts like a junk yard cracker and racist. The industrial media has nothing to say because he is rich and that means he's smart.

Trump feeds the fire with the Muslims and incites more violence by Israel. This doesn't bother his supporters because he is rich and that means he's smart.

Trump insults the Mexicans - our second largest trading partner. This doesn't bother his supporters because he is rich and that means he's smart.

Trump promises to renege on settled treaties. Trump voters don't care if our word matters because he is rich and that means he's smart.

Trump promises to wreck health care and hand it back to Big Health. The poor and sick among his supporters are ecstatic because he is rich and that means he's smart.

It goes on, but the message is clear enough.

So, is there anything that Trump can show, say or do that will shake his mindless base?

The first of the "two mysteries" is that Trump is smart. MeanMesa needn't add a single word. The man, himself, is breathlessly contradicting this one almost every few minutes. The national security staff is in tatters -- sitting in empty offices with vacant desks. Trump has shown that he has no idea how the US government works.

However, this doesn't seem to bother Trump supporters. They think that this means because he is rich, that means he's smart.

This leaves us with the:

2nd mystery.

What if Trump isn't actually rich? Even to the heretofore blind, marching Trumpkins, such a revelation will almost certainly lead to a conclusion that he isn't smart, either.

We tend to flag, or at least strongly resist speculation here, especially when one speculates as to facts that might support a theory. But, with respect to key aspects of Trump’s business status, and the potential conflicts with the Office of the President, we must speculate, because he simply won’t provide the facts to questions that must get asked.

So, I’m going to speculate, thus;

Trump is not only, “not a billionaire,” he carries so much debt that, relative to his hard assets, he’s poor, especially with respect to cash flow through cash intensive investments such as resorts, etc, where one has to pay large monthly bills to keep the lights on and the greens, well — green. In any given quarter, Trump faces situations where he doesn’t have the cash to keep up “appearances” and must borrow cash, at whatever rate, to maintain the cloak of worth, I mean wealth ...I mean, the wealth that makes up his self-worth.

I’m not a CPA. I’m a lawyer, but not one with any business experience. This is truly a layman’s “speculation” and experts here can tell me that I’m wildly wrong - which would be good. I look forward to learning. But, let’s start putting some real easy facts all in one place, ones we all agree don’t even need citation at this point.

1. We know that he promised to “self-fund” his campaign, and yet not only did he not “self-fund” it, he charged HUGE fees to his campaign to use Trump property. We also know that he never had anywhere near enough campaign money. From the beginning, the “Billionaire” had the “poorest” campaign.

2. He promised to donate all that money made in one evening to veterans groups, and had not done so when checked-in on, months later. (This is part of the larger pattern, a “Foundation” that he never paid money into, and hadn’t paid a lot of real money out of, one under criminal investigation. Most true billionaires have real foundations with real people who really help various causes because it helps business. It’s more polite to be worth billions if one can point to the appearance of “doing good” and yet Trump can’t even do that).

3. Upon winning the presidency, one of the first things he did was set up cash cow, meet/greets with his sons and various other tawdry behavior.

4. Even as President-Fucking-Elect he sells tickets to his New Years Eve party. Yet another potential conflict boil-up.

5. We know he took risks that could get a guy thrown in jail — paying off the Florida Attorney General $20,000 to drop the investigation into his Trump U and when he did it, he did so in yet another way that could get a guy thrown in jail — having his "charity" pay for it.

6. By the way, just what the f*ck is a “billionaire international real estate developer” doing even setting up something as stupid as a “U” to begin with? Never mind “Trump Steaks" - Unless one simply needs easy cash?

My point is, at every single point where he could have simply made his life easier by “not charging” or “avoiding a conflict” or “staying out of jail,” he’s gone with the move that carried the most risk but picked up five figures, over and over. No, I don’t think it all can be blamed on being short-fingered.

Which leads to two relevant questions. Speculation. What if, the real reason that Trump can’t “divest” himself of his business interests is because “divestment” would leave bare that he still owes more money than he has? He’s insolvent. What if he’s willing to put up with dancing the “Presidents can’t have conflicts” line because the alternative is “My debts outweigh my assets. I’m not rich, once one has stripped away the 757 and gold toilet, and I’m not willing to do that.”

Of course, I’m speculating, and I’m not a CPA or CFP. And, of course, you can simply read what people who are, actually, CPAs and valuation experts, people at Bloomberg, and see what they think (they still think he's rich, but note his debt doubled). But, Bloomberg basis its findings on something I’m not willing to trust — Trump’s reports, and specifically, they trust he’s accurately reported his debts. I find my lying eyes far more trustworthy. I scan the landscape and cannot escape one fact. Trump takes ruinous risks, monthly, to pick up $10K here or $20K there.

He has to. He’s poor.

And Putin knows it, and can prove it.

I’m speculating. Our President-Elect is free to “prove” me wrong.

Well, now. This seems to explain a lot.

Obama Presidency - What It Was Like

Exaggerating? Obstruction?

This is worth the time for watching it.

"Trouble Ahead" - Trump and the GOP Senate

Fracturing the "Nothing Can Stop Him Now" Nightmare
Since he doesn't understand how "being President" works,
we can assume that he doesn't understand how "dealing with the Senate" works, either.

In these dark moments when we've allowed our worst expectations to gain an unwarranted inevitability, we've imagined that the machinations of the Trump Administration will be effortlessly herding one legislative nightmare after another through a vengeful, gloating clutch of obediently greedy Senate plutocrats. Although the reactionaries are now firmly in control of ALL branches of the government, things may not be "singing" along in an ebullient chorus of victory, plunder and prizes for the salivating Trumpkins.

Normally, one would anticipate that the Republican controlled Senate would assume the historical tradition of its mindless, unanimous lockstep. This is hardly an exaggeration. We've watched this for years now. Still, when there is no essentially other possibility of hope -- as is the case now -- our gloom may have obscured a faint glimmer of unexpected optimism lurking patiently in the Senate chamber's cloak room.

Now, immediately dispatch any furtive expectation that the Senate Republicans are going to somehow act in the interests of the country or the old democracy. They haven't done anything similar to this for decades. But -- MeanMesa sees a faint possibility that, while continuing to consistently embrace their absolute highest priority of further enriching themselves and their billionaire handlers, these old, white GOP Senators may possibly have an even less legitimate interest scurrying around in their dark dreams -- revenge.

"Legitimate?" Don't forget the now antiquated theory that the Senate "serves" the interest of the common people of the country, and that doesn't mean "serves them up as meaningless pork chops on a plate of deregulated, Senatorial, get rich quick schemes."

We can be quite certain that, should the Senate Republicans deny Trump any of his "election bling," they won't be doing it because of their love of democracy. Republican Senators do, in fact, "love $omething," but it's not democracy.

Possible "Bad Weather" Ahead In Trump's GOP Senate
"Bad weather?" Let's just say "Bad Feelings" -- plenty of them.
An inexperienced, under informed, naive President
and the geriatric Senate's GOP, anti-democracy, expert "meat grinders"
They won't even need their proverbial "long knives" for this one.

The Senate of the 115th Congress [the current one] is 54-R to 44-D with 2 Independents who caucus with the Democrats. That leaves the "operational tally" at 52-R vs 48-D.

Unimaginably, we are now looking to 3 Republicans to stand up for the democracy -- of course, following some weird, inexplicable Republican motives for such a move. Realistically setting the possibility of any actual, unseen Republican patriotism aside, our hopes now reside squarely with the prospect of "Republican political revenge" -- entombed somewhere in the mix with the now suddenly checkered prospect of having to compete with the White House Trumpkins over the traditionally successful Senatorial looting operations -- presenting "priorities" which might sway what, otherwise, appears inevitable.

Let's take a look at a few examples of some of the possible Senate "storm clouds" quietly drifting toward the Oval Office and the new President's legislation.

Senator Orrin Hatch, R-Utah
Trump, Senator Orrin Hatch and the Mormons

Mormons have the cultural scars, bruises and grave stones of "PR problems" from a century ago. Not only are the rank and file LDS sensitive to such matters, it is very good politics to also be sensitive, yourself, if your constituency happens to be in Utah. Orrin Hatch doesn't like criticism of Mormons. He really didn't like Trump's "Mad Hatter" humiliation of Mitt Romney. Regardless of Orrin's personal sentiments, the politics of "stump the Trump" will play well at home. Utah, in general, is already less than ecstatic with The Donald's "pussy grabbing" even if they were somewhat less upset with his string of multiple wives and simultaneous, extra-marital "sweet hearts."

Senator Marco Rubio, R-Florida
Trump, "Little Marco," the Cubans and the GOP's "Young Guns"

Marco Rubio was heavily bruised during the GOP Primary debates. He had already established his own political comic meme with the frantic water guzzling while "rebutting" an Obama State of the Union speech.  Trump chewed up Rubio alive with a string of insults which continued in standard "Trump style" -- always met with histrionic doggerel screams during his rallies -- even long after the Primary had ended [leaving Rubio embarrassingly conflicted with his Senatorial future] and The Donald had plunged deeply into his strange, surreal Presidential campaign.

Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas
Trump, "Lyin' Ted" and the "nearly out of breath" Texas Evangelicals

The reason that Ted's evangelicals are "nearly out of breath" is because they had been forcibly "pigeon holed" into approving Trump's decidedly "non-evangelical," wildly public, profligate behavior. If you are familiar with "the biblicals," the real problem is that the "other guy" is black.Ted Cruz grudgingly "made up" with the tyrant in a depressing bid to be chosen for the cabinet but received his own "Romney style" humiliation instead. Trump's crazy allegation that Cruz's hyper-pious father had helped assassinate JFK struck an impressive resonance with the hillbillies in the raucous crowds at the Trump-fests, but left just about everyone else staggering toward the nearest vomitorium. [Trump Accuses Cruz Father/POLITICO]

Senator John McCain, R-Arizona
Trump, Senator John McCain and the angry war mongers

The Donald began his pointed irritation of the geriatric war monger by "firing a shot across the bow" with his weird crack about McCain's POW experience. [Trump Slams McCain for being captured/WashPOST]  This "love affair" has plunged into deeper water since then. McCain became even more upset when Trump lurched after McCain's "buddy," Senator Lindsey Graham.

Senator Lindsey Graham,
R-South Carolina
Trump, and "lost boy," Senator Lindsey Graham
-- "looking for love -- practically everywhere"

Lindsey Graham may not have garnered many votes in primary campaign support, but he still has a Senate vote and even something of a strange loyalty from his own voting block "caucus" comprised of other Confederate state, Senatorial throw backs. Trump easily absconded with Lindsey's historical segregationist base of Southern racists with an endless string of "white supremacist" innuendos in his campaign speeches which most erstwhile "Lindsey backers" found almost as delightful as either bad religion or bad narcotics.

"You ain't washin' this one off!"
The Republican Establishment -- "Hey, brokers, lobbyists and hedge fund billionaires have feelings, too."

The damage already inflicted by the Trump "experiment" has inflicted fundamental damage to the Republican brand. Worse, this kind of damage is almost certainly politically permanent. The US has experienced two un-elected Republican Presidents in this Century. The first one was horrendous. This one appears quite ready to re-brand that last nightmare into the imaginary dust of "the good old days."

Choices: another Republican depression,
WWIII or both? That question is too
complicated for the hillbillies.

The American Electorate is Terrified

Now that the Inauguration is complete, an actual majority of Americans -- including the 55% who didn't bother to vote -- are officially frightened. For the past couple of months those with a "more whimsical - less realistic" comprehension of matters were desperately seeking "someone" who could "fix" this. We're on the train. We're going where the tracks go. There isn't anyone left in power except Republicans. Take it from there.

There are plenty of "ego bruised" Republicans beyond this short list of examples. Happily, many of them are seated in the Republican controlled Senate.

During a more typical Republican Primary candidates would have been recruited from the various Red State Governors, but this nomination process found a depressing majority of Red States as "Federal hand out parasites" and the corresponding "Red State Governors" as petulant, ill advised, incompetent ideologues. As a result those FOX News "debates" were packed with Republican Senators -- literally an indigestible poison pill for the Party's hordes of beer soaked racists terribly upset after being bushwhacked by Washington "insiders."

Worse, the GOP Governors couldn't politically maneuver well at all while dragging their instate collection of "fetchy" oil billionaires around behind them -- so the Koch Brothers  and Goldman-Sachs won. What the GOP Senate seems to be doing day by day as of this posting may look relatively innocuous, but every action -- on practically anything -- is now the result of "orders coming down" from the big boys on the far end of the campaign checks.

The rowdy GOP House caucus is chuck full of amateur looters, but the GOP Senate is, on the other hand, chuck full of surgically professional GOP looters. The extremely well fed, Republican banksters and hedgies who currently own these Senators, while probably appreciating the exciting business opportunities of becoming utterly unregulated, are far less enthusiastic as they watch huge tranches of the "peoples' money" sliding out of their grip and into the hands of Trump's lobbyists, billionaires and other Goldman-Sachs "swamp dwellers."

Trump has never been famous for sharing.

Will the Inauguration Become Trump's "Beer Hall Putsch?"

"Anything Goes Because I'm a Billionaire"
The flamboyance turns dark -- very dark.

After watching Trump's "politics" for several months, one rather strange observation is grown from being a mere "curiosity" to become an unsettling reality. That observation?

Absolutely nothing Donald Trump has said, promised or done seems to have upset any significant section of his political supporters.

[There may be a welcome exception to this general observation. The imposition of Republican "pillage and plunder" mayhem with respect to obliterating the health insurance of millions of these same supporters might be "the breaking point," marking where the "spell" is to be lifted, shocking the sufferers back into reality.]

Perhaps the most striking example of this "devil may care" flippancy is seen in the reaction -- or non-reaction -- of the Christian evangelical dead enders in the Party's maniacal right. The video with Billie Bush [Ironically, in the sense of the inevitability of karma, the blood cousin of W. himself...] was not the product of devious, Democratic Partisan "opposition research." It flew out, entirely voluntarily, straight from the self-elevating, narcissistic mouth of the candidate.

However, to these mindless Trumpkins none of these revelations about the candidate perturbed his meteoric ascension. MeanMesa wants to explicitly point out this phenomenon before we get to the deliciously tasty "conspiracy" part of this post.

The Christian Evangelical Trumpkins
 Dump Their Religion
 in Inebriated "Revenge Voting"
Nothing matters except "getting even" ... with something.

"Grabbing them by the Pussy" had no impact whatsoever on the biblical lunatics supporting the man from the usually semi-crazy, evangelical right. The current "whispers" that Trump indulged himself in a "golden shower" with a troop of flashy Moscow hookers is now eliciting the same, banal response.

Although this post concerns primarily Trumps extremely suspicious "preparations" for the "Inauguration" festivities in Washington, DC, the shockingly passive evangelical "anything goes" response to his growing "parade of peccadilloes" demonstrates an important feature of the over all, political process at play.

This is important for this post because it suggests that Donald Trump expects the same, passive response to any "trouble" he might encounter in DC on his big day. If his supporters hold him to such a low bar with respect to his dalliances with Russian hookers, perhaps he hopes that they will, similarly, have little to say about what he might be planning to pull in the nation's capitol.

The following quoted material comes from an article in The Atlantic.

The Evangelical Reckoning Over Donald Trump

White, conservative Christians voted for the Republican candidate by a huge margin, but this election revealed deep fractures among leaders and churches—especially along racial lines.

Emma Green, November 10, 2016

[Only three excerpts of the original article are presented here. Read the entire -- excellent -- article here The Atlantic]

The moral high ground of a unified “evangelical voice” have shifted, too. This election was not a race to the top on matters of personal integrity; as Al Mohler, the vocally anti-Trump president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, said during the campaign, if he were to support Trump, he would have to apologize to Bill Clinton, who he called out for sexual immorality in the ’90s.

“You’ve now hitched your wagon to the GOP and Mr. Trump in ways that just ruin moral credibility in the country,” said Thabiti Anyabwile, a theologically conservative Baptist pastor in D.C. “I don’t know how you recover from that.”
...

Some evangelical leaders who supported Trump dismissed the allegations of misogyny as a distraction. “To suggest that people who are voting for Trump are ratifying the worst of his behavior is simply not logical,” said Eric Metaxas, a radio-show host who has been a vocal supporter of Trump. “If people want to bludgeon you with, ‘Beth Moore said this and this,’ there’s no reaction except to say that anyone who has suffered [sexual abuse]—that’s one of the most serious things there is.”

On this and other issues, nearly everyone I spoke with emphasized a need for healing. As Newbell put it: “My heart is to care for the women have have been abused.” Metaxas said he got an email from a friend disavowing their relationship because he had supported Trump’s rise. “Fundamentally, as a Christian, we have to know that there is pain on the other side, and if I claim to be a Christian, I have to care about the pain on the other side,” Metaxas said.
...

The evangelical leaders who supported Trump during the election do not see the future in such dire terms. “I suspect that in time they will see he is not the person they feared,” said Metaxas. “Because if he were that person, I myself would be the first to say, ‘I made a mistake. I made a terrible mistake.’ I have been hopeful that he would be fundamentally decent, and that most Americans would see that.”

Others say that Trump is a new man, that everything he’s said on the campaign trail—about women, Mexicans, Muslims, the “inner city,” and more—does not reflect who he truly is. “I’ve seen a lot of change in him in the last year or two. He’s a different man,” said Falwell Jr. “I believe everybody is redeemable, and I think Donald Trump has been positively influenced by the American public that he’s interacted with over the past year.”

After months and months of pushing back against Trump, Moore said he hopes he’s proven wrong about the president-elect. “My prayer is that Jerry Falwell Jr.’s view of Donald Trump turns out to be the right view,” he said. “My prayer is that four years from now, my attitude is to say that Jerry Falwell Jr. knew depths of this leader’s spirituality and character that I didn’t know.”

He’ll also be praying for Trump, he said, just like the Bible commands.

The Trump "Inauguration:"
A Washington DC "Beer Hall Putsch?"
MeanMesa issues a travel warning.
This could be dangerous -- and deadly.

What, exactly, was the infamous "beer hall putsch?
[Excerpted. Read the entire article  here Beer Hall Putsch/WIKI]

The Beer Hall Putsch [image_WIKI]
The attempted putsch was inspired by Benito Mussolini's successful March on Rome, from 22 to 29 October 1922. Hitler and his associates planned to use Munich as a base for a march against Germany's Weimar Republic government. But the circumstances were different from those in Italy. Hitler came to the realization that Kahr sought to control him and was not ready to act against the government in Berlin. Hitler wanted to seize a critical moment for successful popular agitation and support. He decided to take matters into his own hands. Hitler, along with a large detachment of SA, marched on the Bürgerbräukeller, where Kahr was making a speech in front of 3,000 people.

In the cold, dark evening, 603 SA surrounded the beer hall and a machine gun was set up in the auditorium. Hitler, surrounded by his associates Hermann Göring, Alfred Rosenberg, Rudolf Hess, Ernst Hanfstaengl, Ulrich Graf, Johann Aigner, Adolf Lenk, Max Amann, Max Erwin von Scheubner-Richter, Wilhelm Adam, and others (some 20 in all), advanced through the crowded auditorium. Unable to be heard above the crowd, Hitler fired a shot into the ceiling and jumped on a chair yelling: "The national revolution has broken out! The hall is filled with six hundred men. Nobody is allowed to leave." He went on to state the Bavarian government was deposed and declared the formation of a new government with Ludendorff.

Hitler, accompanied by Hess, Lenk and Graf, ordered the triumvirate of Kahr, Seisser, and Lossow into an adjoining room at gunpoint and demanded they support the putsch. Hitler had promised Lossow a few days earlier that he would not attempt a coup, but now thought that he would get an immediate response of affirmation from them, imploring Kahr to accept the position of Regent of Bavaria. Kahr replied that he could not be expected to collaborate, especially as he had been taken out of the auditorium under heavy guard.

MeanMesa's Strange Fear
[Yes, this is OFFICIALLY a conspiracy theory. Watch out.]

There are, presently, a collection of "coincidences" which have managed to set these old bones on fire. Let's have a look -- in each case MeanMesa will provide a link for additional reading and information.

1. The Trump Transition Team has replaced the previous General officer in command of the Washington DC National Guard with a Trump "appointment." This is to occur at the moment Donald Trump has been Inaugurated.

2. The electrical power to the Senate Hearing on the Trump CIA Director Pick is mysteriously cut when a Democratic Senator asks a question about Russia.

"10:41 a.m.

Electricity is out in two Senate office buildings, interrupting a hearing for President elect-Donald Trump's nominee to be CIA director.

A spokesman for the Architect of the Capitol says power is out in most of the Hart Senate Office Building and in some of the adjacent Dirksen building. Crews are working to restore power.

The confirmation hearing for congressman Mike Pompeo of Kansas is being moved to a new room."

3. When House Member, Diane Waters [D-CA], asked about gutting the Securities and Exchange Commission, the CSPAN feed from the House Chamber switched to advertisements being broadcast on RT. [RT is the propaganda channel of the Russian Federation government. RT stands for "Russia Today."]

4. A Firestorm of Protests Will Take Place at Donald Trump's Inauguration

5.  Inauguration security focusing on truck terror attack threat, Homeland Security says

/2017/01/13/security-trump-inauguration-focuses-truck-attack-threat-homeland-security/USAToday

6. The FBI has thoroughly demonstrated that it is no longer trustworthy. The 2016  Trump campaign relentlessly incited Republican supporters that nothing was trustworthy -- the media, the agreement made with Iran, NATO, the sitting President and so on.

Normally, confronting this present conundrum, Americans would be looking to the FBI to investigate the domestic side of affairs and inform them of its findings. None of this is going on currently.

7. Absolutely no one in the US government can stop Trump from doing whatever he wants. This proposition can easily expand to include a "Beer hall putsch" on Inauguration day.

The Trump Inauguration
Washington, DC, Under "Emergency" Martial Law
Across the nation the Trumpkins are "lovin' it."

Let's have a quiet moment to reflect on the bizarre confluence of factors approaching us on Inauguration day. We already know that Washington will be filled with protesters -- probably more protesters than citizens gathered to celebrate Trump's dubious ascent to power. Naturally, with all this emotion on hand, we can expect things to get "juicy."

[Tickets to the Inauguration are slowly evaporating in the pockets of ambitious scalpers. Nobody wants them. Everyone who wants one, has it. 2017/1/16/1621063/A-desperate-Donald-Trump-records-a-message-on-Facebook-offering-free-Inauguration-tickets/DailyKOS]

We have also seen how quickly protesters get under The Donald's remarkably thin skin. His tantrums and tirades during his campaign rallies -- to the effervescent, brutal excitement of his supporters present -- fully revealed Trump's out-of-control, vile response to any "voice" not obediently consistent with his latest meme.

But those instances involved only a handful of people showing up to express their dissent. Inauguration day protests are estimated to be massive. Further, the "stakes" have patiently grown very much higher. Most of the reckless types who attended his campaign rallies had at least a fleeting impulse to remain somewhat civil. MeanMesa predicts that the crowds at the Inauguration may well be somewhat more...uh...restive.

Donald Trump's "problem" will be entirely centered on "how this looks."

His Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, has already expressed how "troubling" the President-elect finds what he considers to be "mocking" in the comments of the press and his political opponents. In fact, Trump publicly refers to these "political opponents" as "enemies."

The "coincidences" listed above have offered hard evidence that the Trump Administration -- with the assistance of its deeply involved friends in the Kremlin -- can cut the power to prevent the normal broadcast of Senate hearings and, even more egregiously, insert RT feed to CSPAN's normal broadcast of House of Representatives hearings. It is also noteworthy that these "coincidental interruptions" occurred at the precise moment the hearings were moving to focus on the SEC and Russian intervention in the election.

These incidents were a sign. Trump wanted to make certain that everyone in the Congress understood that "the rules have changed." There are certain topics which can no longer be broadcast to the American people.

With respect to the imposition of martial law, Trump has plenty of supporters who will scream with orgiastic delight if he "locks down" the nation's capital. If there exists any particular reason who these voters cast ballots for him, this may be as close as we get to understanding what that might be. Although the more stable elements of the Republican Party will be frantically gasping for air as they watch the GOP's already heavily soiled brand hit to land fill, the elected members of the House and Senate -- from both parties -- will be receiving a very clear, intimidating message.

Quit mocking Trump

The Dangers of a Petulant President
Geopolitical reality getting under the thin skin of a geopolitical reality

When MeanMesa uses the term "geopolitical reality," it includes many aspects of "reality."

Naturally, it clearly refers to international relations between the US and other nations -- all of them. There are wars underway, here and there, but there are also somewhat "sweeter" sides to the civilized interplay this country conducts with diplomatic partners, international competitors, close friends and those cases where, for some reason, relations are more hostile.

President Trump, seen now to be very visibly suffering from some psychological affliction with origins arising from both the hyper sensitivity of psychotic narcissism and crushingly low self-esteem, is relentlessly gutting the inertia of all these previously rational policies and practises. He has implanted a horde of self-serving racists, opportunists, lobbyists and ideologues in every possible "nook and cranny" of the White House, and he has ruthlessly "cleansed" the entire existing collection of US ambassadorships around the globe.

Believe me.
Of course, such a course is quite dangerous. The political price his action will reap is going to be shockingly wide and deep. As the economy, barely back on its feet following the last Republican looting spree in 2008, falters, it will -- inevitably -- become "war time," once again. With the White House crippled by an infestation of old FOX News anchors filling the roles of actual policy makers, failed and disgraced generals in control of the Departments of Defense AND Homeland Security and campaign donors -- freshly "recycled" from their  fetid hedge fund offices, hate radio studios and rancid think tanks -- sitting in US embassies around the planet, we should be prepared from some amazing diplomatic and military disasters.

George W. Bush is breathing a sigh of relief. He was afraid that he was going to die locked under the moniker of being the "worst President in history."

The Behavior of a "Petulant Oval Office"
We can see the first evidence even before the "Inauguration."

Among all the unsettling Tweets and the frightening collapse of competence in national security issues, we have an opportunity to see this part of the President-elect's tragically debilitating psychosis in action.

Vengeance on the "Crooked" Media
Yes, that would be the same crooked media
that elected him -- for free.

President-elect Donald Trump has Tweeted gaseous, impotent "messages/orders" to the GOP "Congressional committees" to "investigate" NBC News, the media entity which more or less innocently publicized damaging details from the current President's report on Russian Federation intervention in the latest election. Just as is the case with the President-elect's flippant derision of the intelligence community, such an attack on the industrial media is a very reckless gambit for The Donald. NBC will not magically become "controllable" when Trump is Inaugurated or at any time in the foreseeable future afterward. The other corporate media interests are watching -- and learning. The networks will remain an "existential threat" to the Trump Administration for its duration. All of the corporate "alphabet news" entities have the resources to accomplish this, not just once, but in an almost perpetual, gnawing fashion.

For this reason MeanMesa predicts that America's televisions will become a "knife stuck in Donald Trump's neck." The insertion and twisting of this "knife" will not be particularly lackadaisical. Both the intelligence industry and the "news" industry have "long memories" and very little "good natured forbearance" which might somehow limit their reaction to Presidential threats.

From Way Up Here Political Opponents are "Enemies" and
"Little People" either don't actually exist or don't really matter.

The stifling limits to understanding almost inevitably caused by the plutocratic "private education" which formed Trump during his adolescence is only now emerging in the President-elect's comportment. Granted, the campaign "con" was sufficient to line up a hefty collection of "lost souls" who had previously been considered "too rustic" for a warm welcome in GOP circles. For the feeble minded, conveniently distracted and heavily conflicted "news analysts" appraising this arcane style of "hit or miss populism" [their term -- not Meanmesa's] for their network audiences, there was an unsteady, intermittent, very faintly hopeful hint that a Trump Presidency would embrace working class priorities.

After all, the Democrats had left the "position" wide open.

Already being a multi-millionaire the second Trump cleared his mother's uterus, he has serious difficulty relating to "little people" and other "nobodies" -- not to mention women who fail to be "tens." This is the case with such folks in the US, but it extends to citizens inhabiting the rest of the planet, also.

His tragic lack of understanding the life conditions and priorities of people in foreign countries is not entirely a fault of his education, but, more likely, the predictable result of a lack of common curiosity -- a common symptom of extreme cases of narcissism. This lack of "depth" has also left Trump with the basic psychology of "extreme exclusivity." He thinks that billionaires and high government officials are the only foreigners requiring his "executive touch" in relations with other countries.

History has seen this before. In the European wars of Dark Ages Christianity, the kings and nobility considered the common people in their realms to be utterly expendable and "doomed by their station" to be unquestioning recipients of complete neglect.

Trump's High Maintenance Friendship With the Russian Federation:
Over Estimating the Tenderness of a Suspiciously Fast, Eager Friendship and the Heartfelt Affection of the Truly Needy

So far as effective "dirty tricks" are concerned, The Donald has benefited much more from his Kremlin Connection than he has from all the amateur "dirty tricksters" inhabiting his US clown car entourage. To the point, Trump has already begun his involuntary weekly payments of "political capital" for his awkward, self-destructive petulance and the resulting, unavoidable embarrassment of having included such heavily soiled political creatures such as Chris Christie, Mike Pence, Jeffery Beauregard Sessions and Breitbart, plastic, "hate radio" denizens, Flint and Stephen Bannon in his Oval Office, 1950's "rat pack."

The chortling, corpse like, Rudy Guliani on FOX "spilling the beans" on Trump's shady political maneuvering with the New York FBI revealed a political machine as dysfunctional as its dysfunctional boss. Alarmingly, not even such a "screaming faux pax" seems to penetrate the gaseous arrogance currently inebriating the boisterous Trumpkins. Although irritating at the moment, MeanMesa expects this inauthentic ebullience to be painfully short lived for them.

A primary component of this temporary bliss derives from the promise of additional propaganda assistance from the Russians. During the campaign the GRU's semi-professional, yet obviously meat handed propaganda campaign's penetration exclusively targeted the low education, low information voters who swayed the election to Trump's favor. While this offered great utility prior to November, its effectiveness as a propaganda defense for the already faltering "Trump Administration" is, essentially, nil.

Thanks to such factors as the Obama sanctions for the Crimean annexation and US energy policies which truncated global oil prices, the Russian Federation finds itself in desperate straits. Intervening in the US election was an act of desperation if not out right panic. Had Clinton been seated in the Oval Office -- a quite reasonable speculation following her substantial majority in the November election -- the Russian Federation's extreme vulnerability would have materialized into a truly obnoxious cloud for the oligarchs surrounding the embattled Russian President.

The Russian Federation -- and, of course, Vladimir Putin -- made a "high stakes bet" by engaging in this wild political gambit to elect Trump. Of course they must be repaid, but more importantly, they have now fired their single bullet. There are no more Russian bullets in the quiver to assist President Trump during the inevitable collapse of his direly conflicted Presidency.

The Insurmountable Awkwardness of Being "Responsive"
to Supporters Still Uncertain About Why They Were Supporters

Trump supporters. Unbridled, patriotic enthusiasm. [image - BBC]
We have just witnessed the national election version of "revenge sex." Still, occupying a political office has traditionally included doing at least something for the voters who delivered one's support in the election.

With the Trump ascension this becomes awkward. All those "deplorables" who marched blindly to the polls in November are a little "different" from electoral demographics we have seen in the past.

They clearly want something, but neither MeanMesa nor Donald Trump is comfortably convinced that either of us know exactly what. Normally, there would be some sort of policy "promise" that emerged during the campaign. Unhappily, aside from building an over priced, ridiculously ineffective wall on the Southern border and sending Muslim immigrants back to where they came from, the Trump "prize bucket" remains embarrassingly empty of the cheap plastic policy trinkets --  "free bling" -- which might have, otherwise, been hauled back to the trailer park and inserted into mom's hope chest.

Trump supporters, effectively isolated from any "news" about actual conditions in the country, embraced the candidate with clouds of frighteningly undefined complaints -- most of which were carefully engineered for their consumption by the GRU. At this point all that is already history.

The important point now is, how can Trump -- as President -- "respond" to the chaotic cacophony of racism and terror among these folks who elected him? His electoral supporters won't have any idea whether or not he's "keeping campaign promises" -- especially not if such promises were in any way complicated.

Trump voters will continue to cheer no matter what outcome is incompetently delivered to them.

Why the Choice of the Term, "Mocked,"
By Trump's Press Secretary Is Important

Words matter. This particular word reveals Trump's "sensation"
of being widely criticized by Americans after his "election."

Trump’s Press Secretary Begs The American People To Stop Mocking Donald Trump

Trump's press secretary Sean Spicer went on national television to complain that the American people are mocking Donald Trump and called on every American to support the president-elect instead of mocking him.

Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer went on national television to complain that the American people are mocking Donald Trump and called on every American to support the president-elect instead of mocking him.
Spicer was talking about Trump trying to take credit for jobs that were already announced when he claimed that the American people are mocking and undermining the president-elect.
So the idea is everyone wants to talk about the tweets he sent. But I would actually focus on the action he’s getting. Donald Trump is not president yet and he’s getting action, successes and wins, both abroad and here at home.
Everything he does right now, he gets — he speaks for the head of Sprint, gets 5,000 jobs moved from abroad. And everyone starts to mock him. Oh, those jobs were already announced. They weren’t. The sales jobs have been a previous announce. These jobs were coming from abroad to America.
And instead of trying to mock him or undermine him, it’s time that people started to give him credit for actually getting things done.
Trump is mocked because he isn’t getting anything done. The president-elect is taking credit for things that already happened, or the accomplishments of others. For example, Trump took credit for the good economic numbers in November despite the fact that the growing economy has nothing to do with him because he is not yet the president. Trump took credit for the horrible Carrier deal that Mike Pence negotiated, and Trump is trying to pass off the Sprint job announcement, which he had nothing to do with, as an accomplishment.”
President-elect Donald Trump’s Press Secretary was practically begging America to stop making fun of the incoming president. Trump isn’t going to find much popular support for his presidency because the majority of voters did not support him.
If Trump continues to act like a narcissistic and petty reality television star instead of a president, he is going to mocked.
One can only imagine the howls of laughter from Republicans if Obama’s press secretary would have gone on national television and complained about the American people making fun of him.
Trump isn’t even in office yet, but his team is demanding credit for things that they have not done, which is exactly why the American people will continue to mock the president-elect.

Words Matter
"Mocking" the President,
and "Winning" a Nomination Hearing
Even intentionally obscured psychology emerges in word choices.

First, the term, "mocking," corresponded to a very serious matter in Dark Ages Europe. The established nobility of the time was curiously sensitive to such utterances when they arose from the Plebeian class of "lesser folks." When "mocking" arose from the noble class, it often resulted in two of these head strong noblemen engaging in an overly dramatic, yet no less lethal, "duel" to protect the "honor" of the aggrieved.

A review of the history of the time reveals that these European noblemen had what is more modernly called a "zero tolerance" for serfs even briefly questioning what was considered to be the "Divine Right of Kings," that is, "mocking their betters." The policy worked well for a number of centuries until these same hungry peasants pulled out the guillotines and began to "get even."

Think of it as a social-cultural "correction." Also, remember that Donald Trump was already a multi-millionaire by the time his mother's pediatrician delivered the first, gentle swat to his bloody infant behind in a high class, private delivery room.

Donald Trump has been either a millionaire or a passably good con man every minute since then.

Secondly, Presidential cabinet appoints are approved by the Senate. Cabinet appointees don't "win" Senate approval. It is -- usually -- not some sort of arcane "contest" to be characterized as a "battle of will."

Unfortunately, The Donald sees this important process in precisely this light.

Fasten your seat belts. We're in for one hell of a ride.
